हिंदी कहानी: छोटी सी शायद (A Small Maybe)
छोटू एक आम इंसान था। वह अपने परिवार के साथ गांव में रहता था। छोटू के पास कोई भी खास कौशल नहीं था, बस वह एक छोटी सी दुकान चलाता था। परिवार की आर्थिक स्थिति तंग थी इसलिए छोटू की माँ उसे बार बार दुकान पर बैठाने के लिए कहती थी।
एक दिन, छोटू एक गांव के मेले में गया। वह वहाँ अपनी निराशा की शिकायत कर रहा था कि उसे एक बुजुर्ग व्यक्ति से मिला। वह बुजुर्ग व्यक्ति एक बहुत ही सुंदर घड़ी लेकर आया था।
बुजुर्ग व्यक्ति बोला, “बेटा छोटू, एक चीज याद रखना, जीवन में हमें कुशलता और सुख इच्छित होना चाहिए। लेकिन, यदि आपका जीवन आपकी इच्छाओं के अनुसार नहीं होता है, तो आपको इस बात के लिए दुख होता है। इसलिए बेहतर होगा कि आप तो अपनी इच्छाओं के लिए काम करें, लेकिन उन्हें पूरा होने दें मिट्टी जैसे। मतलब, आपको एक स्थिति में होने पर आप यात्रा के लिए तैयार हो जाओ, खूब हंसो जब अनुमान लगाने वाले आपके साथ यात्रा कर रहे हों जब हम जानते नहीं होते कि हमें कहाँ जाना है।”
छोटू ने उस व्यक्ति के प्रेरणापूर्वक वचनों को हृदय से ग्रहण किया और अपनी जिंदगी में काम करने के लिए उत्साहित हुआ। अब वह अपने दुकान पर उत्साह से बैठा जाता था और समय होने पर दुकान से बच्चों के लिए बेचने के लिए कुछ चीजें खरीद लेता था।
इस तरीके से कुछ समय बीत गया और एक दिन छोटू एक अजीब सा बस्ता बेचता था। लोगों की इस चीज से अवगत होते हुए, उन्होंने पूछा, “यह क्या है?”

उस समय छोटू में अपनी माँ के उपदेशों को समझ आया कि मिट्टी जितनी पूर्णता प्रदान कर सकती है, उतनी ज्यादा मदद देना भी हमारी जिम्मेदारी है।
उसने इसी वजह से अब मुश्किल से मिलने वाली चीजों के बजाय अधिक विकसित और पर्यावरण में बेनेफिशियल चीजों का विकास शुरू कर दिया। उसने जड़ी बूटियों की खेती शुरू की जो सेहत संबंधित भी हैं।
उसने अपनी दुकान के आसपास उगाए हुए जंगली पौधे एवं लतों से बहुत सुंदर प्लास्टिक फ्लॉवर बनाना शुरू किया।
उसका यह कारोबार कुछ ही समय में उत्साहवर्धक बन गया। लोग उसे अपनी स्थानीय हाट में शामिल होने के लिए आमंत्रित करने लगे।
कुछ समय बाद, उस बुजुर्ग व्यक्ति ने उस सामना किया जिसके लिए वह तैयार था। उसने बताया कि उसके जीवन को उस समय स्वीकार नहीं किया गया जब उसे खुश होना चाहिए था। वह संसाधनों की जिद में नहीं था बल्कि अपनी इच्छाओं के लिए काम करता था जो उसे खुशी देती थी। उसने देखा कि छोटू को उसने अपनी समस्याओं का हल खुद खोजने की शक्ति दी है।
उसने छोटू से पूछा, “क्या आपके दिमाग में कुछ नया आया है?”
छोटू ने बड़े उत्साह से बताया, “हाँ, मुझे विचार आया है कि शायद कुछ नया कर सकता हूं। मैं अब अपनी दुकान पूरी तरह से सर्वोत्तम तरीके से प्रबंधित करने की नैतिक जिम्मेदारी है।”
“यह सही है, लेकिन आपको इसके अलावा भी कुछ करना चाहिए। दिमाग में कुछ आ रहा है?”
छोटू ने बताया, “हाँ, मुझे एक आईडिया आया है। मैं एक सीढ़ी का निर्माण करने का सोच रहा हूं। जिससे अब मैं अपने दुकान के लिए ज़्यादा समान्य लोगों को रोजगार दे सकूंगा।”
बुजुर्ग व्यक्ति ने छोटू को आशीर्वाद दिया और कहा, “आप एक अद्भुत इंसान हैं छोटू। अनिवार्य रूप से आपके पास एक स्वयं बना समूह होगा। लेकिन अब आपके प्यार, साहस, अवस्था, समझ, और नीति जैसे गुणों की जरूरत होगी।”
घड़ी ने एक नया विषय शुरू किया था। छोटू ने अपने भविष्य को बेहतर बनाने के लिए समर्पित होने का फैसला किया था। इस उद्देश्य में, वह नहीं हिम्मत हारा और अपनी सारी ऊर्जा और संसाधनों को इस उद्देश्य में लगाने के लिए तैयार था। वह थोड़ी मुश्किल से शुरू कर दिया था, लेकिन अब उसे एक नया सफर करने के लिए उत्सुकता थी।
A Small Maybe (Hindi Story Translation)
Chotu was a common man. He lived in a village with his family. Chotu did not have any special skills; he only had a small shop. The family’s financial situation was tight, so Chotu’s mother kept telling him to sit in the shop all the time.
One day, Chotu went to a village fair. He was complaining about his disappointment when an old man approached him. The old man had brought a very beautiful watch with him.
The old man said, “Son Chotu, remember one thing, in life we should desire for dexterity and happiness. But if your life does not happen according to your wishes, then you will be sad for that. So, it would be better if you work for your desires, but let them complete like clay. Meaning, you should be ready for the journey when you are in a position to undertake it, laughing when people who guess are traveling with you when we do not know where we are going.”
Chotu took the old man’s inspirational words to heart and became excited to work in his life. Now he sat on the shop with enthusiasm and bought some things to sell for children when the time came.
This way some time passed, and one day Chotu was selling an oddly-looking basket. The people were aware of this thing, so they asked, “What is this?”
Chotu told them excitedly, “It’s a special basket ‘Maybe’ that has things according to the Kundali of people who bought it and found luck.”
People smiled and unfortunately bought the basket. Chotu saw some faces that were sad because they couldn’t get that basket.
At that moment, Chotu understood his mother’s advice that as much completeness the soil can provide, we should also contribute more to help. Chotu excitedly replied, “Yes, I have an idea. I’m thinking of building a staircase so that now I can provide work to more common people every day for my shop.”
“That’s right, but you should also do something else. Do you have anything in mind?”
Chotu replied, “Yes, I came up with a new idea. I want to start making biodegradable items that would be beneficial to the environment around my area. This will be my ethical responsibility to handle my shop in the most excellent way.”
